Tai Chi is an ancient form of Chinese Martial Arts. Predating Kung Fu, Tai Chi was created by monks as a form of moving meditation. Tai Chi is a soft fluid form of exercise with applicable self defense techniques.

Tai Chi can be used as a soft form of exercise with particular areas of focus that can be customized for a more challenging workout. Everyone can benefit from Tai Chi; from the young to the not so young.

Tai Chi can boost blood circulation, increase detoxification, improve balance, coordination, and fluidity. It will also increase focus, clarity, and mindfulness. It has been proven to increase muscle strength, core strength, and agility. Tai Chi eases the body into a relaxed peaceful state.

Tai Chi does not require any special clothing or equipment. It can be done anywhere at anytime.

Loose comfortable clothing is all you need. Your sweats are just fine here! Shoes that have excessive grip may hinder your footwork from feeling fluid.


Absolutely. When you inquire about private sessions, feel free to let me know if this is of interest to you. I go on location; I can meet you at a beautiful park or at your house. Please note that prices vary according to location and duration.

I offer 30 minute or 45 minute classes. The best option depends on your goals and what works best for you.

I teach in a less traditional manner but I do still teach a Tradition 8 or 24 Form along with traditional Tai Chi Sword.

I teach a bit of a mix bag. The traditional forms are in the Yang Style. Tai Chi sword is in the Chen style .Additionally many of the signature forms and custom lessons are a blend of Yang and Wu styles.

Given the petite size of my studio, I currently instruct mostly private, 1 on 1 sessions. If you are looking to book a small group class for you and your friends then feel free to fill out the form below.
